Holder of beauty around you

Being around flowers has scientifically proven to make us feel good. Our Golu Kenzan vase is here for you to play around with unique floral and dry arrangements. It’s such a good feeling to have things of beauty around you. Crafted mindfully with 3 different holes instead of one large big one. This helps you keep your arrangements minimal and upright without having to fill the vase completely. It accommodates water and can be used in so many different ways. From luxury flowers to dry arrangements, from interesting twigs to unique garden finds - the possibilities of arrangements are endless.

Golu Small Ceramic Vase Part of the Akira Collection by Clayventures

Small vase. Big personality.

Meet the Golu Small, the tiniest piece in our Akira collection, and honestly, one of our favourites. It is hand-thrown right here in our Ahmedabad studio and designed exactly where you put them. No fuss, no rearranging, no stuffing the vase just to keep things upright. Just your flowers, sitting beautifully, exactly as you intended.

A little different from your everyday vase

Most vases need a bunch of stems to keep each other standing. The Golu Small works differently. The three hold each stem on its own, at whatever angle you like, with just a little water at the bottom. That is it.

It is inspired by Ikebana, the Japanese practice of mindful flower arranging, where even a single stem can be enough. You do not need a full bouquet. A couple of wildflowers, one dried branch, or even a single garden rose can look just right in this little vase.

Why three holes and not one?

Good question. One large opening means you need lots of stems to fill the space and keep things stable. Three smaller holes give you more control. You can place one stem, two stems, or three, each one sitting at its own angle, without anything toppling over. It makes arranging feel easy and the result look thoughtful.

Where does it fit in your home?

The Golu Small is 4.25 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall, so it is compact enough to go anywhere without taking over the space.

Some of our favourite spots:

  • A bedside table with a single fresh flower
  • A bathroom shelf to add a little softness
  • A work desk to brighten up the corner
  • A dining table where you still want to see the person across from you
  • A kitchen window sill catching the morning light

What works well in it:

  • Fresh flowers: jasmine, marigold, roses, wildflowers
  • Dried stems: pampas grass, lavender, cotton stems
  • A single statement stem: one dahlia, one protea, one interesting branch
  • Seasonal garden finds: twigs, seed pods, autumn leaves
  • air plants for a no-water arrangement
  • Simple Ikebana-style arrangements with just one to three stems

Part of the Akira Collection

The Golu Small is also available as a set of three along with the medium (₹2,700) and wide (₹4,200) Golu ceramic vases. Grouping all three together on a shelf or tabletop looks really lovely. You can also pick up just this one at ₹2,200, and it holds its own beautifully.

Thinking of it as a gift?

This is a really lovely gift for someone who enjoys having fresh flowers at home, appreciates handmade things, or simply loves a beautiful and useful object. It works well on its own or paired with one of the other Golu sizes if you want to make it a little more special. Popular for housewarmings, birthdays, or as a thoughtful thank-you. Priced at ₹2,200 and shipped with care across India.

How to care for it

  • After fresh flowers: Give it a rinse with warm water. A small bottle brush helps clean the holes easily.
  • For dry arrangements: No water means no maintenance. Just wipe the outside with a dry cloth now and then.

General care: Like all handmade ceramics, it is sturdy and built to last. Just avoid dropping it on hard floors and it will stay looking great for years.
